The Office of the Press Secretary to the Mayor serves as the media relations conduit between the
executive branch of City government and the public. The Office is the primary contact for the news
media and serves as public relations advisor to the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer.
In an ongoing attempt to keep the citizenry informed relating to municipal operations, the Office produces
a broad variety of communications materials that includes press releases, newsletters, brochures,
annual reports and other publications. The Office also informs the public through the
city's website, www.RichmondGov.com and its government access cable channel (Channel 17).
