Message from the Sheriff

On behalf of my hard-working staff at the Richmond City Sheriff's Office, I welcome you to our website. We continue to add new and improved features to the site, keeping in mind our goal to enhance our ability to communicate with the public. Access to the VINE database now allows for easier access to information about persons currently incarcerated at the Richmond City Jail. Another new feature allows the convenience of adding funds to a jail resident’s Canteen Account from anywhere with internet access. I invite you to acquaint yourself with this website's various links and pages to become familiar with our multi-faceted agency and the many services we provide.

Over the next two years the Sheriff's Office will continue to make technological strides which benefit the public, to include the completed construction of the most modern facility of its kind in the U.S., the RICHMOND JUSTICE CENTER.

I hope you find this website helpful, and will communicate your continuing needs to us as they evolve. We are here to serve you!
